Due to the Nature of the Pandemic, here are some up-to-date FAQ's and Answers:
Are staff and campers wearing masks? Wearing a mask is optional for kids and staff. Funderblast continues to follow county guidelines as they adjust.
How should parents/guardians safely drop off children for Camp? We will be receiving children from your car - so parents will not even need to get out of the vehicle. Our drop off and pick up is drive through.
Are parents allowed to hang out at camp? No, at this time parents and other spectators and visitors are not allowed at childcare establishments, summer camps or sports camps. Parents/Guardians shall drop off and pick up children at staggered times to prevent congregating of any groups of parents/guardians.
Can my almost 4 year old attend? They are very mature and have been at preschool with older kids? Kiddos must be 4 to join us at Funderblast. No exceptions.
Will there be swimming this summer? Yes, there will be daily free play swim time at Scott Valley and Homestead.
Will you be offering Swim Lessons paired with Funderblast? Yes! Swim lessons will be an add-on to camp, with small group lessons. We will let you know once registration for this opens.
What happens if my child cannot swim? Children must pass a swim test before they can have free access to the pool. If they do not want to take the test, or cannot swim (or do not pass) at Homestead they can hang out in the shallow end. At Scott Valley they can hang in the hot tub on the steps or in the kiddy pool. If they do not want to swim, we always have a a "Dry Play" option!
Will tennis lessons be offered? Funderblast at Scott Valley will likely pair with the Tennis Department to offer combination Funderblast and Tennis Lessons. Group tennis lessons are from 10am-12pm each day. This program is an add on. We will let you know when registration opens.
What about the locations where there is no pool? We offer "Water Day" - water games and relays. So kids still have the option 1-2 days a week to get in swimsuits and get wet!
What is your refund policy? If you need a refund please let us know via email two weeks prior to weeks registered for refund (less a 15% processing fee), or you can apply 95% credit towards future Funderblast. With no expiration.
Once we are within the two week window (ie the session your child is registered for starts Monday June 20th, and today is Monday June 13th), we can give you a 50% refund or 75% credit for future Funderblast.
If you need to change the weeks your child will attend please let our admin staff know at least one week beforehand, we can accommodate IF we have space. Email funderblast(at)outlook(dot)com
Once camp is in session we cannot offer refunds or credits for missed days or weeks.
What if someone in a household of a camper gets Covid-19? Please inform your site director as soon as you are aware that your child has tested positive for COVID-19 or has been directly exposed to someone with COVID-19. In addition, for the most active and up to date information from the county, please see this link. This link replaces the County's decision tree.
Can I move my registration from Homestead to Scott Valley (or from one site to another?) If we have space, however, we have a $25 change location fee.
